10 Steps to Become a Pregnant Warrior
1. Acknowledge the problem
First things first. You are here, so you already made your first step, which is realizing that stress is a part of your life and you want to tackle it to be happier and healthier.
Congratulations, you are one step closer to achieving a better mental health.
2. Assess the level of stress
We all experience stress and worry at some points in our life, it’s unavoidable. In fact, stress is sometimes good (watch this video for more info), when it’s moderate.
The problem is when you start worrying about things that you cannot control and that anxiety becomes a pattern in your thoughts and behaviors, and it doesn’t allow you to live a happy life. An example of that is when you’re constantly worried about having a miscarriage. That thought dominates your mind and it even makes you behave in crazy ways like when you start to search for every possible symptom that can tell you if the baby is ok or not, sometimes even imagining things when they are not real.
You can control that stress, you can practice to make those thoughts disappear or at least be less frequent and powerful. That’s what this blog is for.
However, there are levels of stress that are so high that require professional help. I am not a mental health professional so if you think your anxiety is that high, you should seek the attention of a psychologist or a therapist that will help you get those levels back to normal. Mental health is a serious topic, not to be taken lightly. You can find a very interesting article about Anxiety During Pregnancy here.
3. Get ready to change your mindset
We are all in this together. So, it is time to take action and it all starts with a change of mindset: You are a strong, powerful woman and you can do this! Start the journey by believing in yourself, you are stronger than you think.

7. Go to the Community page
And find your team of warriors. Make sure you read the etiquette rules on how to comment so that we can all benefit from positive, constructive debates.
8. Accept that this is not a one-time effort
Changing a behavior takes time and practice so you need to be perseverant and patient. It is worth it.
9. Make peace with the fact that sometimes you’re going to fail
You cannot be stress-free all the time. But if you stress one time per day instead of three, isn’t that a success? Therefore, embrace the small victories!
You have started putting an end to this madness. The journey has begun.
